this whole situation is extremely SHOCKING! i cant get over it. paula was like the mother of the show, caring and supportive of everyone on the show. shes such a amazing woman with a huge heart. now thats shes gone i dont think im going to even bother watching idol. i still cant believe that she really did decide to quit. who woulda thought? shes such a sweet person and im POSTIVE shes got many other things shes planning to do that will be amazing and maybe even BIGGER than idol. no matter what i'll stand 100% beside her. Well said Team Abdul! I am deeply saddened that this had to happen like this. Its disappointing that Fox producers did not take much care in the situation. I know, personally I will NOT be watching Idol ever again. I loved the show- because of Paula Abdul, and Saula of course.
Watching her on AI was like an escape to happiness- whenever I felt down, having a bad week- then I watched AI, I was so happy.
Her positive energy, kindess and beauty will be missed on the show, I am so proud of her though, she has so many things going on for her, and like you girls said, she WILL be moving onto bigger and better things.We love her dearly and support her (we always will) throughout every decision she makes etc, simply because she is like our 'cyber' mom (tv, internet etc) and we love her!!

I don't think it has fully sunk in yet that the heart of Idol will no longer be there. It truly makes me sad to know Idol has lost one of the most important aspects of its show.
Not only did you touch the hearts of many of the contestants that walked through the door but you enlightened many of the viewers that watched it too. Without a doubt we know you now as the most precious and the most down to earth person ever to make their presence in the celebrity world.

Anyhow, Idol prducers are makign a HUGE mistake, cuz Paula fans will stick with her no matter what! No idol in my house anymore, in fact, no one is allowed to watch anything from FOX. I do have to say I am a little depressed she is leaving, but they are not treating her right. I also feel bad for Simon, as I am a big Saula fan.

we love you! no matter where u go or what u do, we will follow u!! it is hard to imagine that someone could treat u the way that fox did. you are the most caring, empathetic, strong, and beautiful woman. The things I have read that your fans have written to you these past couple of days are just breath taking. some of them even bring tears to my eyes. it is amazing how one woman could touch so many people. We all look up to and respect u so much & would do anything in the world for you. I am so sorry that things have worked out this way, but I do know that you will go on to do great things!! There is nothing that you can't do!! if nothing else, you will continue to be a strong role model and that sense of strength for so many people.
On a personal note, I want to tell you that there have been times in my life when I felt like no on would understand what i was going through and what i was feeling, but then I would turn to you and realize that although I could not speak to u in person or anything like that, it made me feel better to know that if I told you my story you would understand and be able to relate to what I was going through. There were times when I didn't think I would ever overcome my eating disorder, but then, I found this strength taht came from you because I could see that u had been through it and it just took realizing that life is not perfect and there is no way to be perfect. Although I am dealing wtih it again, I know I will get through it, especially after talking to you!!! that meant the world to me. A lot of people have referred to you as a mother figure to them, you are. I haven't had a good relationship with my mom since I was younger & the one woman who i trust the most passed away when i was 17, so even though it sounds crazy, you kind of have filled that spot. Again, I know i can't talk to you when i want and I may never meet you (i hope thats not the case) but its just that feeling of knowing that you have been through some of the things I have, you have beat it, and you provide support for us (like a mother should do) it is hard to explain i guess.
Your ability to reach out and touch the lives of your fans is unbelievable. I do not know another celebrity that can or is willing to do what you do for us. u just have such a positive energy and it is so contagious! It is amazing whta the previous contestants have said about you and how much u mean to them. Idol will never be the same without the heart of the show, you. Fox is out of their minds for doing this, and I am so sorry that you have to deal with this, but please know that we all believe in you paula. I just have to say I love you Paula! You are such a beautiful, talented, and caring woman. :O) Idol is not going to be the same without you. Like some former contestants have said, you were the one that should be there out of them all. You know exactly what it's like to be in shoes of the contestants, and none of the others really understand what's like to be on both sides. You've done so much with the contestants, giving them advice and just giving them that little bit more of encouragement that they need to hear when things get tough. Nobody else really offered that. Knowing what you went through when you were first starting out, you know how much just a few kind words can mean when you're trying to make it in such a stressful and heartbreaking business. It's one of the many things that your fans love about you, you truly do care about everybody and are so amazing with your fans. No matter what happened during the day, week or whatever, you're always willing to sign an autograph, take a picture and take some time out to talk to a fan. I don't know if you really know how much it means to us. You're a inspiration to so many and as a fan it's hard to try to put how much of an impact you've made on people's lives in a limited space. One of the things I'd admire most about you is the strength and confidence that you have. It's constantly an issue that I'm working on, but you truly amaze me. No matter what obstacle is in the road, you just keep pushing right on through. You go after whatever it is you want it seems fearlessly and always keep such a positive attitude. I don't know how you do it, but I give you so much credit for that. After everything you went through during Idol and even before Idol, somethings you dealt with probably would have made some people just give in and give up, but not you. You've proven time and time again, never to count you out on anything. When ever you get knocked down, you just get back up and come back ten times as strong. You never lost hope or that confidence and your determination also inspires us to keep pushing forward in whatever it is we want to do. That's how we all know that even though it's sad you aren't on Idol, there are many big things still ahead for you. We just want you to know that we love you and you'll always have our support. You've touched so many lives, I sometimes wonder if you truly know how you've inspired us and that it's because of you that we can make it through some tough times. You've been through so much and if you can make it through, then it gives us hope that we will too, we just gotta hang on. I don't think I said in my earlier post everything that I wanted to say. Let's just say it was my anger speaking.
I hope you do read this, Paula. I would like to tell you how much you have meant to me. I suffer from the debilitating depressions that come with being bipolar. I spent an entire year fighting my hardest just to get out of bed during the day, at all. And every day was a struggle. I had to quit college for a while and I isolated myself. But every week, there was this little thing that managed to lift my spirits every time no matter what. I still can't explain it, but the day I knew I'd watch American Idol, somehow seemed less painful than any other day.
Looking forward to you on the show, to Simon, and to both of your comments and interaction with the contestants, made my week seem a little more bearable. And I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart. I got together every Thursday with my best guyfriend to watch the show, and forget about meeting with him, I loved watching the show, period.
In the midst of a very dark time in my life, you provided a bit of light, and that made all the difference. I seriously can't thank you enough. I'm a lot better now and have my disorder very much under control, but I simply cannot forget all those hard times that you made better.
American Idol will never be the same without you. You are the heart and soul of that show, and no matter who they choose to replace you with, or if they don't, there's gonna be a hole and a void in the judging panel that only you can fill. I hope you know that. Nobody will ever be able to take your place, and I believe the show will suffer because of that. But let me just say, I could not be more proud of you. Right now, I feel proud of being your fan, and proud for knowing who you are and what you do. Because walking away like that, with your head held up high, is something that not many people in this world would be able to do.
I obviously have no idea what really went on between you and the producers, but they made a huge mistake when they let you go. You, however, made the most admirable decision by not coming back. You stood up for yourself, and you proved to be an independent woman who doesn't take crap from anyone. Good for you! You are the kind of person I strive to be like every day. I probably won't watch Idol anymore, and I honestly feel like this is the end of an era for me, but I will continue to follow and support you in every little thing that you do, forever.

Paula, i felt that you have been apart of my life since i was 7 years old. That would be the year i was introduced to your amazing talents and that was the year that changed my life forever. For me, American Idol is nothing without you. You're not only entertaining and wonderful to look at, your personality and heart has shown us all how amazing and important you are. Important for the kids. Important for the viewers. Important for the show. Important for me.
I was at first very saddened and shocked when I heard that you are leaving American Idol. I have to say though, that That feeling isn't that intense anymore. I'm still very sad but you're a strong, talented woman and I know in my heart that you're gonna be just fine because of that. Not to mention that your fans are here to support you and hopefully that will help a lot too.

It's not difficult to understand. Just as many people here said, No Paula = No Idol.
But i don't wanna talk about that now. I just wanna tell you how much you mean to me. On my worst days, you help me understand that it's gonna end soon. On my happy days, you help make it a hundred times better. On the days i'm feeling worthless, you give me inspiration and remind me to always be true to myself. And everyday, you put a smile on my face.

American Idol is really going to be "American Idol" without the real American Idol? Paula Abdul! The show is nothing without her! She's t judge with the biggest heart, the show needs her. FOX should have paid her how much she wanted... I'm sure they are absolutely surprised that so many people says that won't watch the show without Paula. They should do what they could to bring her back.

Paula, my God, where do I start? First I want you to know that I love you to death, and whatever you choose to do I will support you, because you have supported me through so much directly & indirectly. When I talked to you for the first time on Kiis FM with Ryan Seacrest, I was so happy and shocked I actually got to talk to my idol. I was crying hysterically, but it was ok because your gentle voice was so comforting, like you really did care that we were talking :) Thank you for laughing, and even almost crying with me... You have been my Idol since day one. I have always idolized how sweet you are to everyone, and how you always have such positive energy, and even if i'm depressed you always seem to put a smile on my face. I love you so much, please don't ever forget that.You are really have changed my life in such a good way. I used to have anorexia, and I never really got through it, but honest to god you helped me through all of it! It's something that I will never forget... Then when I was 8 I was diagnosed with this eye disease, and from stress I would loose eyelashes. But to be honest, your positive energy helped me through it all. To top all of that off, my parents might get divorced. Your inspirational quotes have kept me going through it all. Since u are no longer on idol, I will no longer be watching. Its been a great 8 years of idol but without you, without your heart, without your and simon's adorable interactions, Idol is dead to me. You have given SO MUCH to that show and to the contestants and FOX is incredibly insane for not giving u the money u feel you deserve. Their loss. You are so talented and creative and im sure you will choose wisely at what offers u will take part in. Everyone wants a piece of you because u are just so amazing and talented. Life changes every now and then, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst. Along your journey of life you meet people who will change your life forever, such as being a fan of Paula, she lightens your spirit whenever you need it, be it a simple smile or that awesome laugh, a smile creeps onto a Paula fans face when needed most. Nobody can change my mind on Paula, no matter what they say.
I am truly saddened that Paula will not be on Idol and i pretty much refuse the concept, it's weird not counting down till January for Idol to start. Paula will be missed by fans and by FOX when they realise their huge huge huge huge mistake of letting her go!
I will always love and support Paula in whatever she choses to do next, even if she comes out of the spotlight nobody can replace everything she has done and would continue to do. I absolutely love the fact that on most polls people are not going to watch idol without her, but hey who would? Theres no up to simons down, theres no beauty, optimisim or grace there.
I found american idol in season 6 and it became my get away from reality no matter what i was going through watching paula gave me a strength to carry on because things always will look up in the end because it cannot rain forever and you will always get your chance to dance in the light!
Idol should have finished with Paula,Simon,Randy and Ryan just as it started.
Paula if you read this keep your head up no matter what because your fan base is HUGE and we all have your back no matter what! We as fans are able to see through stupid articles and scandals that low life people chose to make up. I only hope that you find happiness such as you had on american idol in whatever you do next.

I will sadly miss Paula on idol and will not watch the show any longer. I felt they were disrespectful to her if what was in the news was true and definitely very sexist. Fox has been wrong on many levels with this and I won't support any of their shows.
However, I hope Paula finds an outlet to use her creative side and is at peace with this. She is a beautiful and talented woman and more to offer than just an opinion of someone else. I look forward to seeing what she brings us and hope she finds fulfillment and happiness in the process
